Time for us!

Have you heard the saying about how the shoemaker’s son always goes barefoot? Essentially it refers to the fact that the knowledgeable person (in this case, the shoemaker) is often the last to benefit from their own expertise.

Closer to home - and in our case the PR company’s content is sadly lacking, seems particularly relevant. You will always find myself and my colleagues informing our clients how content is king, that new blogs and news are vital for your business, and how one should never neglect social media- and it’s true. However, while we have been busy looking after our clients’ content and social media, we have not had chance to give Manchester based PR company Republic Relations the love and care it deserves.

We are not out of the woods yet

It has been a very difficult time for all of us in business. When the coronavirus first started to hit, we braced ourselves for losing a lot of business. It didn’t happen. Yes, we lost a couple of smaller clients, but in the main, our clients recognised the value of keeping their presence online. Even if they couldn’t fully open for business – they wanted to signal they were still around and ready to go again as soon as they could.

Between us all, I am really proud how we have been inventive and innovative as we have researched what we can provide to our clients’ end-users to keep them informed and engaged. To be honest, we have never worked so hard!

Although we have not had to furlough staff or lay people off – we know we are not out of the woods yet, but thank goodness, we are all safe and well. As lockdown slowly starts to lift, all businesses are going to have to work harder than ever to attract new clients and business. If you are a small to medium sized business in Greater Manchester and want some frank and honest advice about your marketing, then please do get in touch.
